Introducing: Trinity Peirson-Harrop

Can you tell us about your background in art and what inspires you?

I’m a local artist who specialises in portraits. I find beauty in capturing people’s story through their individual facial features and expressions. I fell in love with oil painting in high school, after taking a break and moving to Queenstown, I have felt inspired to create again. I love creating commission pieces for people wanting to capture a memory of loved ones, weddings, pets and family treasures.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently working on growing my exposure so I can create art with more people. I feel like my art is different from others in Queenstown and I would like to explore the opportunities that are here.

As an artist, what is the best piece of advice you have received, and/or would give?

Be true to yourself and your art will find who it is meant for.

What do you love most about being a part of the Queenstown Arts Community?

Everyone has welcomed me with open arms. All the members are very passionate about keeping art alive and lifting others up.
