Confluence is an exhibition cycle curated by the Queenstown Arts Society and hosted by the Queenstown Lakes District Council. Born from a collaboration, this initiative aims to support the local creative community and enable connections with the wider Queenstown Lakes District audience. In this public exhibition space, different paths meet - and Confluence, naturally, happens. Not only in space, but through the propositions shared by artists from our community. Here, personal narratives meet and converge into a collective story. Our story.
Since 1962, the Queenstown Arts Society has united local artists and energised the creative scene by curating exhibitions, promoting workshops and hosting various events and initiatives. Today in Queenstown, celebrated as one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most creative cities, our volunteer-based team is proud to present the work of the artists who shape our visionary landscapes.

Karina Fay & Maryanne Marlow
5 November 2026 - 3 February 2027
Confluence’s inaugural exhibition brings together Karina Fay and Maryanne Marlow in a flowing conversation between paintings. Karina’s sculptural approach and Maryanne’s translucent, layered atmospheres meet in the fluidity of their lines and in the treatment of light and colour, inspired by the sea, the rivers.
The Queenstown Arts Society is honoured that this exhibition has been selected as part of the Creative Spaces Project 2026.
Visitors can enjoy this duo exhibition until 3 February 2027. Confluence will then continue to unfold here in the Council foyer with an exciting programme introducing other QAS members.
The artworks in this exhibition are for sale. You can purchase them below, or enquire if you have any questions. Once a purchase is made, a member of the Queenstown Arts Society will contact you to arrange collection of the piece.
Artworks must remain in the exhibition space until collection has been formally arranged.
