After retiring from medical practice in the year 2000, I was able to pursue my life-long dream to be an artist. Following study at school and university in Canterbury, I moved to Arrowtown and set up a studio.

I love to draw and paint. After initially exploring pastels and acrylics and working from life I began to experiment with oils and abstraction. This is my preferred genre, taking inspiration locally and from my travels as well as from the being. I love to layer transparent colours and create a depth, often using different painting processes and applications.

I exhibit locally and my works are held in collections both in NZ and internationally.
