Kelly Pearce is a Queenstown based contemporary landscape painter working in oil, in abstract and semi-abstract style. A South Island landscape painter at heart, her work is often interpreted and simplified, but sometimes more literal - a reminder of someplace, sometime the viewer feels connected to, without being directive. 

Her expressive style has been described as uplifting, perhaps a reflection of the time she spends outdoors.

Now living in Queenstown full time, after many years sharing her time between Southland and Otago, and growing up in Dunedin.  The rural, southern landscape remains a strong influence on Kelly’s work. She also spends winters working as a ski instructor and concierge at Coronet Peak.

Kelly won the Supreme Award at the Queenstown Art Centre Awards (2020) and Best Landscape at the Craigs Aspiring Art Awards, Wānaka (2023), returning as guest artist in 2024. Her work is represented by The Artist's Room Gallery, Dunedin, and can also be viewed at The Skin Institute, Remarkables Park.

Currently sitting on the QAS committee, Kelly shows regularly in group exhibitions across Queenstown, Central Otago, Wānaka, Arrowtown and Dunedin.
