My name is Ksenija Asonja and I am a polymer clay artist and jeweler based in Queenstown.

Originally I am from Serbia and I moved to Queenstown, New Zealand in 2017. I studied at the Medical University Department of Dentistry but I have been embracing my creative journey altogether with the dental profession since 2015. Since then I have finished numerous polymer clay, sculpting and precious metal workshops and courses and I am a founder of Vanilla Creative Studio. My main medium is polymer clay as it offers endless possibilities in exploring colors, sizes, shapes and it satisfies my needs to create tactile and visual wearable esthetics as personal pieces of self-expression, visibility and confirmation.

I combine polymer clay with other mediums such as acrylic paint, pigments, gems, etc.

And my inspiration is everywhere and everything around us, the nature, people, cultures, personal stories. I enjoy challenges, incorporating demands into an aesthetical acceptance and making absolutely unique wearable art.
